Field Ready Acquisition and Analysis
FREDDIE is the portable, field-ready version of the FRED™ workstation. This powerful, rugged, and flexible forensic system was built to perform as a field ready acquisition and analysis system. While smaller in form factor than our base FRED, this system has the power when you need it. Built with quality components common to FRED systems such as the baseline FRED motherboard, Intel® i7 core CPU, removable custom DI forensic drive trays, and the UltraBay 4™, FREDDIE is ready for any forensic challenge.
DI UltraBay 4 Hardware Write Blocking
FREDDIE is designed for use on site at electronic crime scenes. Remove the hard drive(s) from the suspect system and plug them into FREDDIE to acquire the electronic evidence. Using modern forensic imaging software, the UltraBay 4 acquires forensically sound images of IDE, SATA, SAS, PCIe (server class, PCIe M.2, and MacBook® mid 2013-2016) drives as well as USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 and FireWire storage devices. Storage devices may be connected, imaged, and removed from the UltraBay 4 without powering off the workstation or leaving the GUI.
Flexible, High Performance Data Storage Options
With capacity for up to seven hard drives, FREDDIE provides the storage flexibility required by modern forensic software. Each standard FREDDIE ships with three drives: One 512 GB NVMe (operating system), one 512 GB SSD (database/ cache/temp), and one 2 TB 7200 rpm (case/data). There are many drive options available to meet your storage and processing needs.
Rigorously Tested and Optimized for Leading Software Packages
All FRED system configurations are exhaustively tested using leading forensic software packages. This methodology produces systems optimized for exceptional performance when conducting digital forensic examinations.
